Just to be clear, eating the below foods regularly will not restore your vision to 20/20 or give you X-ray vision. The below list of foods helps you to see more clearly.

1) Papaya

Papayas are rich in antioxidants and vitamins which help keep mucus membranes in our eyes healthy. Vitamin A in them helps reduce age-related decay of vision.

2) Carrots

Yep, Bugs Bunny's food of choice. Carrots have vitamin A and an important antioxidant called lutein. It is also rich in beta-carotene, a naturally occurring pigment that nourishes the eye.

3) GreenLeafyVegetables

Spinach and other leafy vegetables are rich in two antioxidants stored in the macula- lutein and zeaxanthin. These absorb blue light, which is harmful to the retina, and help the eye to detect contrast better.

4) Eggs

Yolks of eggs are high in lutein, a type of carotenoid that helps fight macular degeneration. Scientists say that our body can absorb more lutein from eggs compared to leafy vegetables.

5) Almonds

Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E. They are healthier in a raw state, but they taste amazing when soaked overnight in water and provide more nutritious benefits to the eye.

6) Tomatoes

Researchers have shown that lycopene present in the ocular tissues helps prevent light-induced damage to the retina and other areas of the eye. Tomatoes are filled with carotenoids, like lycopene, and an excellent source of vitamin C which protects our vision.
